1987
Tamarack Homes Was Born

Harold Taggart began transforming streets in Eastern Ontario into new homes for returning war veterans in 1948. That proud legacy and dedication to excellence continued through the hands-on efforts of his family, culminating in the formation of Tamarack Homes in 1987.

2002
Tamarack Homes Launches Findlay Creek Village

Findlay Creek Village, a master-planned community developed by Tamarack Homes (in partnership with Tartan Homes) officially launched in 2002, marking the start of what would become one of Ottawa’s most successful and thriving communities still selling.

2014
Sales Begin at Cardinal Creek Village in Orléans

Cardinal Creek Village launched in 2014, now over 10 years in the making, is a thoughtfully planned Tamarack community in Ottawa’s east end of Orléans known for its family-friendly designs, natural green spaces, and access to urban conveniences.

Tamarack Homes Celebrates its 30th Anniversary Milestone

2018
Tamarack Homes Receive the EnerQuality Impact Award

Tamarack Homes is honoured to receive the EnerQuality 2018 Impact Award for making significant long-term voluntary progress in reducing carbon emissions and showing outstanding achievements through energy efficiency and sustainable practices.

2023
Tamarack Wins Builder of the Year

Tamarack Homes is awarded Builder of the Year for 2023 at the Greater Ottawa Homebuilders’ Association’s Annual Housing Design Awards.

Tamarack Wins “Best Customer Experience Canada”

Tamarack Homes has been named the Winner of the 2025 H.O.M.E. Award for “Best Customer Experience Canada” in the category of Single Family Homes (50–149 Homes) Ontario.
